RKY Water Reminder Terms of Use

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RKY Water Reminder (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must immediately uninstall and cease using the App.

License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App on your mobile device for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms of Use.

In-App Purchases & Premium Access

The App offers a premium tier unlocked via a one-time lifetime in-app purchase. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

The App also offers temporary premium access by watching a rewarded video advertisement. Access is granted for 15 minutes and expires automatically. Expired access reverts to the standard ad-supported tier.

All billing, purchases, and refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their respective terms and conditions. The developer does not process payments or issue refunds directly.

Location Services & Weather Data

The App uses your device's location solely to fetch current weather conditions from a third-party weather service (Open-Meteo). Location data is transmitted only for real-time weather requests and is not stored on our servers.

Weather data, including temperature, humidity, and conditions, is provided for general informational purposes only. The App uses this data to generate hydration tips, which are suggestions and not medical recommendations.

You may disable location access at any time through your device settings. Disabling location will turn off weather features but does not affect core hydration tracking functionality.

Notifications & Reminders

The App sends local push notifications as hydration reminders based on your configured schedule. Notifications are generated and delivered entirely by your device.

You can enable, disable, or customise notification settings at any time through the App or your device's system settings. The developer has no control over notifications once they are handed off to the operating system.

Data Export & Sharing

The App allows you to export your hydration data in CSV, JSON, and PDF formats, and to share your progress as a PNG image. All exports are generated locally on your device.

You are solely responsible for any data you export or share. The developer is not responsible for the handling of data once it has been exported or shared through your device's share sheet.

iCloud Synchronization

If you enable iCloud Backup, your hydration logs and settings are synced across your iOS devices via Apple's iCloud Key-Value storage. This feature is optional and managed entirely through your Apple ID.

The developer does not have access to your iCloud data. Sync issues related to iCloud are subject to Apple's iCloud terms and conditions.

Advertisements

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads help keep the App free to use. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's privacy policy.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's advertising settings. Opting out does not remove ads entirely but makes them non-personalized.

No Medical Advice Disclaimer

The App is an informational logging and habit-building tool designed to help track daily hydration. The App, including its daily intake targets, hydration tips, and weather-based suggestions, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a healthcare professional before making dietary or health changes based on app recommendations.

User Content & Data Retention

You are solely responsible for the inputs and hydration logs recorded inside the App. Since your data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, we have no access to your records and cannot recover deleted data.

Intellectual Property

The App's structure, code, graphics, branding, assets, and design elements are the exclusive intellectual property of the developer. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute any part of the App without permission.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the App.

The developer is not liable for data loss, including loss of hydration logs due to device failure, iCloud sync issues, or App malfunction. Users are encouraged to maintain backups via iCloud or data exports.

Updates & Availability

The App may receive updates to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Some features may be added, modified, or removed in future versions.

The developer does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the App or any specific feature. The App depends on third-party services (weather API, ad networks, app stores) which may change or become unavailable.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising in connection with the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
