Does the app store my data on a remote server?
No. All item details, receipt photos, manual PDFs, and settings are stored 100% locally on your device using a high-performance MMKV database. If enabled, your data is synced privately across your devices via your Apple iCloud account. The developer has absolutely no access to your data.
Can I lock the app?
Yes. You can secure the app using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device Passcode. This keeps your personal inventory and receipt photos private even if someone else is using your phone.
How do the scanning features work?
The app features simulators for barcode scanning and receipt OCR. When adding an item, you can select "Scan Barcode" or "Scan Receipt" to trigger the camera-guided scanner simulators, which will demonstrate how the system extracts details and automatically fills in your item fields.
Does the app notify me before a warranty expires?
Yes. The app uses local system notifications to remind you when an item's warranty is approaching its expiration date (you can configure custom reminder offsets, like 3 days before). No internet connection is needed for these alerts.
How do I backup or export my data?
You can export your entire inventory database as a JSON file from the settings page, and import it back at any time. You can also generate high-quality PDF reports of your items or warranties to print or share instantly.
