Introduction
RKY QR ("we", "us", or "the App") is a utility mobile application designed to scan and generate QR codes. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to operate entirely offline and locally, saving all data directly to your device. No account registration is required, and no data is transmitted to any server.
Data Collection & Handling
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the App. We do not collect or request any personal identification information.
- Scan and Generation History: Your scanned codes and generated QR codes (including content, type, and timestamps) are stored 100% locally on your device. We do not have access to, transmit, or store this data on any server.
- Camera Access: The App requests camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. Video data is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- Photo Library Access: If you choose to scan a code from your photo library, the App reads the selected image temporarily. The image is not stored, uploaded, or transmitted.
- Clipboard Access: When you use the copy feature, the App writes the scanned or generated content to your device's clipboard. This action is initiated by you and handled by your operating system.
- Contact & Support: If you reach out to us for technical assistance via email, we collect your email address and message contents solely to answer your questions. This data is never shared or used for advertising.
Device Permissions
The App requires the following system permissions to operate effectively:
- Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): Required to scan QR codes and barcodes using your device's camera.
- Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Required only when you choose to scan a QR code from an existing photo in your library.
No Third-Party SDKs
The App contains no third-party analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or telemetry systems of any kind. No data leaves your device. Your privacy is guaranteed by design.
Data Security & Ownership
- Data Deletion: You can delete individual history items or clear your entire scan and generation history at any time from within the App.
- App Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data permanently.
