Introduction
RKY Kids Growth Tracker ("we", "us", or "the App") is a utility mobile application designed to help parents record and track growth milestones for their children. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to operate locally and save all records directly on your device, with optional private syncing via Apple's iCloud storage under your control.
Data Collection & Handling
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the App. We do not collect or request any personal identification information.
- Growth Records & Logs: Your children's profiles (names, birthdays, avatars) and logged growth entries (height, weight, shoe size, dates, and optional notes) are saved 100% locally on your device. We do not have access to, transmit, or store this data on our servers.
- iCloud Syncing: If enabled, the App utilizes Apple's native iCloud storage to synchronize your child profiles and measurements across your own Apple devices. This sync is private to your personal iCloud account, and the developer has no access to this database.
- Contact & Support: If you contact us for technical assistance via email, we collect your email address and message contents solely to answer your questions. This data is never shared or used for advertising.
- Analytics data: The App uses Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) to collect anonymous usage and behavioral data. This helps us analyze how users interact with the app, identify performance issues, and improve overall functionality. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous, and does not identify you personally.
Device Permissions
The App requires the following system permissions to operate effectively:
- Notifications: Permissions are requested to schedule local alerts for reminding you about regular logging or milestones.
- Camera & Photo Library: Permissions are requested to choose or capture photos for children's avatars. These images are stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud backup, and are never sent to our servers.
Data Security & Ownership
Because the App operates offline and stores all records locally, you are in full control of your data. We do not employ third-party analytics trackers, SDKs, or advertising libraries.
- Data Deletion: You can purge all active child profiles, measurement logs, and settings at any time by tapping "Reset All Data" inside the Settings menu.
- App Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all local records. Synced iCloud values can be managed separately inside your Apple device settings.
