Overview

RKY ILR & Citizenship Tracker helps UK visa holders monitor their journey towards Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and British Citizenship. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The app is privacy-first: your immigration data, travel history, and agreement records stay locally on your device or in your personal iCloud backup.

Data We Collect & Store

The app stores the following data locally on your device (and private iCloud backup for iOS users) when you use it:

• Profile details you optionally enter (nickname, visa route, visa start date, first entry date, marriage status, passport expiry date).
• Recorded trips and travel history (destinations, departure and return dates, trip purposes, exemption justifications).
• Checklist status and test completion records (Life in the UK test, English language proficiency).
• Terms and privacy acceptance status (timestamp confirming user agreement on app launch).
• Calculated milestones, absence totals, and settlement eligibility dates (derived locally on device).

Where Data Is Stored & Backup

All personal and immigration data is stored locally on your device. RKY ILR does not require account creation and does not upload your travel history, profile, or agreement records to developer-hosted servers.

Cloud Backup (iOS): On iOS, the app optionally utilizes Apple's native iCloud Key-Value Store to securely synchronize your profile, travel history, visa dates, and agreement records across your own Apple devices. This sync is strictly private to your personal iCloud account, and the developer has no access to this data. On Android, all data is retained securely in device-local storage.

No Server-Side Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal immigration data to third parties. If you choose to export or share data (for example, by exporting your travel logs to PDF), that action is initiated directly by you and handled entirely on-device.

Third-Party Services

The app does not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers that collect personal information. The app only accesses device biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / Biometric Prompt) locally if you choose to enable the app lock feature. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device operating system and is never accessible to the app or developer.

Security

We take reasonable steps to help protect data stored on your device, including optional in-app biometric lock and Privacy Mode to mask sensitive data on-screen. You should protect your device with standard security measures (screen lock, device encryption) to prevent unauthorized access.

Your Rights

• Access & Correction: You can view, edit, and update the data stored in the app at any time through the Profile and Settings screens.
• Deletion: You can reset all app data directly in Settings (under Reset App Data) or by uninstalling the application. Uninstalling the app removes all local records. On iOS, iCloud synced data can be managed in your iOS settings under Apple ID -> iCloud -> Apps Using iCloud.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please delete the information from the device.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, the effective date will be updated. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
