How does RKY AI Excuse Maker work?
Select a situation (e.g., Work, School, Family), choose your preferred tone (e.g., Formal, Funny, Casual), add optional context, and tap "Generate with AI". The app uses advanced AI to craft realistic, believable excuses tailored to your scenario.
Is my data private?
Yes! RKY AI Excuse Maker is built privacy-first. No account registration is required, and all your generated history, favorites, and preferences are stored locally on your device or safely synced via your personal iCloud account.
What is BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)?
BYOK allows you to enter your personal OpenAI API key into the app settings. This connects your app directly to OpenAI’s completions API for unlimited generations billed directly through your OpenAI account.
How do credit packs work?
If you do not have an OpenAI API key, you can purchase credit packs (e.g., Starter Pack of 50 credits for $0.99 or Pro Pack of 175 credits for $2.99). You only pay for what you use—there are no recurring subscriptions.
Can I save and search past excuses?
Yes. All generated excuses are automatically saved to your History tab, where you can search by keyword or filter by situation category. You can also bookmark top excuses to your Favorites tab.
